Position Summary:
The CTE Regional Director is responsible for supporting campuses with the day-to-day of CTE programming and implementation. The CTE Regional Director collaborates with the District Director of CTE to provide consistent implementation of the CTE programs for each career cluster at assigned campuses for equitable educational opportunities for students. As the liaison between the home office and campuses, the CTE Regional Director is also responsible for regular communication and being available for one-on-one support throughout the year. The CTE Regional Director will engage in both self-directed and District Director of CTE initiated professional development to grow the program and ensure they have the most current program knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree (preferred)
Experience
3+ years of successful Career and Technical Education or work experience
Experience in supervisory, public relations, budget preparations, fiscal responsibility, business planning, marketing, and leadership skills
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Possess in-depth understanding of services and Career and Technical Education principles and processes
Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
Ability to manage staff and resources
Ability to lead and support the CTE process for the campus
Detail-oriented specific to planning, organization and fiscal management
Ability to conduct professional development
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the District Director of CTE to prepare budgets and monitor invoices.
Keep CTE Teachers informed of the latest teaching techniques and technological changes.
Assist the District Director of CTE with the development of new courses of study, by conferring with teachers, directors, and stakeholders.
Assist campuses in the development and completion of individual graduation plans, enrollment procedures, and more.
Coordinate the development of the district CTE programs.
Provide for annual/periodic evaluation of programs and operations to determine improvements needed.
Provide for effective Career and Technical Student Organizations.
Work with the advisory council providing community input on new technology and new programs.
Direct teachers in the development of program advisory/support committees.
Provide for effective communication with staff, teachers, and campus leaders.
Support the campus in maintaining required documentation for state and federal CTE compliance.
Plan for orientation and follow-up meetings for new CTE teachers.
Have full knowledge of CTE programs in order to support and lead campus directors and the district.
Ability to speak, conduct tours, train and promote all CTE programs.
Support campus directors with CTE teacher staffing.
Assist in the selection, requisition, distribution, and inventory of all equipment and supplies used in the CTE programs.
Select and promote industry certifications and career explorations.
Visit campuses to ensure fidelity of CTE program, complete course audits, and track progress and success.
Coordinate with CCMR Regional Counselors to improve College, Career and Military Readiness
Travel as needed.
All other related duties as assigned.
